Aging
Submission for Illustration Friday: Aging
7/29/05
*(added this note 8/05/05 due to comment: Academie Sketchbook, Crayola Colored Pencils, Prang Watercolor wash as background... I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to use computer/illustrator :) (I'm a single mom. I buy lots of my supplies during back to school sales... this week is a big sale week here!!! Yea!!! )
I originally thought about doing strawberries because I had just thrown out about 1/2 a carton. Such a waste of goodness.
Bananas were easier to do than fuzzy strawberries.
I am sad to say I also have had more than one banana age to ooze liquid.
I really need to freeze them when they get too ripe so that I can thaw them and make banana bread.
Now if I can just convince my daughter to do that as well.

like this, and the colors really enhance the idea, almost like a stop light, go caution, stop.
What a great idea! Excellent illustration.
metaphoric ideas, i like your work :")
simple yet brilliant :)
i like the rotten banana soaking...drawn it in illustrator?
Thanks, Cin.
Hi aravisarwen, Thank you.
Thank you, Louise.
Thanks, Raji.
A rotten banana really does ooze out that brown liquid. :)
And no to the Illustrator... I don't know what that is.

I added a note to my post as well. I guess it is hard to tell what is done on computer and done without one, isn't it.
Thank you all for leaving comments. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know what you think.
Come back anytime. :)
